about

I qualified as an architect in the UK 2000 and in Spain in 2010. I worked for various medium size practices prior to establishing my own studio ‘Plastik Architects Ltd’ in 2002.

I take a creative approach at all project opportunities- whether large or small- and consider that a successful architectural proposition can only be achieved through a combination of a strong conceptual approach, combined with (30 years) of experience of dealing with the practical considerations of building- issues such as budget, climate, and longevity.

I start and finish each project by listening and responding to the client’s needs and as such the work here says as much about my client’s life as my own architectural interests.

Since 2019 I have developed a different company model called whereby, I draw in talent to complete the project to suit each its needs. This means I can rely on specific specialist network of people I have developed over the years such as 3d modelmakers, job runners, interior designers, engineers, construction experts and suppliers to advice on the project’s requirements. This help ensure that the clients brief is met and allows me to provide a tailor-made service, with less overheads and apply this model to any country.

projects

This website shows a short selection of the projects I’ve been involved with over the past 20 years. We now specialise in private residential work, which makes up 80% of our workload. We take on a small quantity of projects each year to ensure the quality is achieved and all projects have their own distinct starting point, which specifically derives from the client’s needs. Whilst we do not have a ‘house style’, our approach displays certain common features which insist on creating projects that are thoughtful well-made and authentic. In my mind the key to a successful project is often getting the client-architect-builder ‘triangle’ of relationships working. This new website displays only a short selection of recent projects and will always be a work in progress.
